One Year Ago

Lasting, not ever. In what shade of pall that falls before my eyes, there it lies both grey and barren. For whatever lingers, it waits in languor. For whatever hopes, it fades in such hurry. All the while there’s but one wish I’ve made upon the very fire of every star on every night we’ve been.

Never doubt that I love.

    1. You are well read indeed. Hamlet, Act 2, Scene 2.

“Doubt thou the stars are fire,

Doubt that the sun doth move,

Doubt truth to be a liar,

        But never doubt I love
